DCHZ-Fe408 oxidizing salts are dissolved in water at a concentration of 4.75 pounds per gallon. 

The alkaline solution will blacken a wide variety of low carbon steels at 250°F. The resulting finish 

complies with military specification MIL-DTL-13924D, Class 4.For high brightness products, 

requirements of mechanical sandblasting prior to blackening.
